Dental Students from Australia visit Rajan Dental!

Two promising young dental students from the University of Adelaide completed a week-long observership programme at the Rajan Dental Institute on 8 January, 2013. Making the most of their summer vacation, the students were exposed to a range of cutting edge dental procedures and practices.

“Observing at RDI has provided me with a rich learning experience. In such a short period of time I was exposed to a number of interesting cases and was extremely fortunate to be able to witness and learn about cutting edge procedures, in particular, Zygomatic Implants – a concept first brought to India by Dr Gunaseelan and his staff.” – Niroshita Balasubramaniam

“I was exposed to a wide variety of cases in all the specialties of Dentistry including; Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery – including pathologies, extractions and implant placements. I was also able to observe how cutting edge procedures such as Zygomatic Implants and Maxillary Distraction were planned (using the in house Cone Beam CT etc) and carried out. The amazing staff were friendly and welcoming and contributed greatly to my learning experience!” – Shwetha Gulvady
